Join us for a conversation about the article we published earlier this year, “Mapping the Field of K-12 Religious Literacy Education: A Working Report” (Soules and del Nido, 2025), what we learned in that process, and what is next for the overall project of trying to better understand our field. Following a brief presentation of the findings in the report, we will spend most of the session in conversation and brainstorming.
How to Prepare:
- If you haven’t read the report yet, start here (it is open access!)
- Be prepared to share what you are currently doing in the field and/or about other projects and initiatives that you are aware of.
- Brainstorm what you would want to see as next steps to strengthen the field of religious literacy education and to continue this mapping project. Think about the things we can easily do right away, but also think big. What would you want to do if resources were not an obstacle?
