Proposal Call for 2022 CIES Annual Conference
The Religion and Education Special Interest Group (R&E SIG) explores the links between education and religion across national, historical, and civilizational contexts. The SIG fosters an interdisciplinary dialogue and international collaboration, focusing on implications from the study of education-religion. Key areas of focus include:
- Religion in Secular Schools;
- Religion in Religious Schools;
- Security and Religious Extremism; and,
- Religious Education Curriculum around the World.
As members of the R&E SIG, we invite you to develop proposals for the 2022 Comparative and International Society Annual Conference (https://cies2022.org/) reflecting one of the SIG’s key focus areas, or another unique area that fits within the purview of religion and education. The deadline for proposals is October 20, 2021.
For the 2022 conference, the R&E SIG has proposed to offer sessions that are fully on-site, as well as hybrid (i.e.; presenters may present on-line through Zoom).
Please note that all proposals must be submitted through All Academic. Certain formats will undergo double-blind peer review, while others will be reviewed by the CIES 2022 Program Committee. Proposals must be submitted in English (to allow for reviews). A short abstract in another language may also be included. The CIES 2022 All Academic online submission system is available at https://cies.lasaweb.org/welcome.aspx
NOTE: When submitting your proposal, please select the Religion & Education SIG!
