Call for Proposals: Convergence International Conference on Religious, Secular, and Spiritual Identities

Convergence invites scholars, practitioners, chaplains, graduate students, policy makers, and others working, teaching, and researching in support of equity and inclusion for college students’ diverse religious, secular, and spiritual identities (RSSIs) to submit proposals for the second International Conference on Religious, Secular, and Spiritual Identities, being held digitally this summer, August 2-4, 2021.

The theme for the conference is Equity for Religious, Secular, and Spiritual Identities NOW! Sessions at the conference will address topics such as: technology supporting RSSIs; policy change to support RSSIs; addressing White Christian supremacy on campus; responses to White Christian Nationalist attacks; international perspectives on White Christian supremacy and colonization. Other topics developed by presenters will also be welcome, as long as they connect to the theme.

To submit a proposal, use the following form: https://convergenceoncampus.wufoo.com/forms/x1fedh421jmm7uw/

Proposals will be judged based on adherence to the theme, clarity and innovation of the content, as well as fit within the larger collection of proposals received. The deadline for submitting a proposal is June 25, but we will review submissions on a rolling basis due to the tight timeline.
